Drake University will welcome #1 New York Times bestselling author John Green as the featured speaker for the 47th Annual Martin Bucksbaum Distinguished Lectureship. Known for beloved novels such as The Fault in Our Stars, Paper Towns, and Turtles All the Way Down, Green is also a leading voice in thoughtful, human-centered storytelling that bridges literature, history, and social impact.

During this evening lecture, Green will draw from his latest work, Everything is Tuberculosis, a deeply human social and scientific history that examines the global healthcare inequities behind one of the world’s deadliest yet curable diseases. His talk will explore storytelling as a lens for understanding complex systems, shared responsibility, and the moral dimensions of public health and global care.
