Alumni Exclusive Book Talk: Born to Serve by Eric Idehen

Wednesday, March 4, 2026 (9:30 AM - 11:00 AM) (CST)

Description

This alumni-only event invites Lead DSM alumni to join a conversation with Eric Idehen (GDMLI '09), author of Born to Serve.

In his memoir, Dr. Idehen reflects on his journey from Benin City, Nigeria, to leadership roles in corporate America and nonprofit work. His story centers on resilience, service, and purpose, and includes the founding of the Cornerstone of Hope Orphanage, which has supported more than 150 children in Nigeria.

During this book talk, alumni will hear directly from Dr. Idehen and explore what it means to lead with empathy, live intentionally, and create impact through action. The event offers space for reflection, discussion, and connection among Lead DSM alumni who continue to lead in their communities.

Reading the book in advance is optional, and everyone is welcome to join the conversation.
